Cook County Treasurer's Office
Town President Larry Dominick and the Town of Cicero Board, Clerk Maria Punzo-Arias, Supervisor Joe Virruso, Assessor Emilio Cundari, Collector Fran Reitz, and Trustees Bob Porod, Larry Banks, Victor Garcia and John Cava welcomed the staff of Cook County Treasurer Maria Pappas to Cicero Town Hall last week to provide assistance to residents to explore the state database of unclaimed assets (property and money). Pappas staff worked with residents during the 2 days at a station located in Town Hall on the first floor by the entrance.
The Treasurer's Chief of Staff Manual Venegas was on hand on to help residents search the database to identify unclaimed assets. Clerk Maria Punzo-Arias added that, like the Town of Cicero, the Treasurer's staff provided bi-lingual assistance.
"This is a very important service that the Treasurer provides," President Dominick said.
"There are a lot of assets that are unclaimed and this certainly helps our residents who may have some of these unclaimed resources," Punzo-Arias said.
Assessor Emilio Cundari also provided assistance to residents who had questions about their taxes, and Collector Fran Reitz and Trustee Victor Garcia were on hand to provide assistance and to welcome the Treasurer's staff.
